展望デッキ(福岡空港 国内線ターミナル)
キャッチフレーズは、“日本一飛行機に近い展望デッキ”。 延べ床面積は約4,378㎡と広々しており、2層構造(3階と4階)の4階からは360度を見渡すことが出来る。 間近で見る飛行機の離着陸の様子は迫力があり、見飽きることがない。 また、展望デッキの床に設置された685個のLEDは夜になるとライトアップされ、滑走路の航空灯とあわせて、綺麗でロマンチックな感じだ。 これだけの内容にもかかわらず、無料だというのも良い。 デッキの4階部分にはビアガーデン「ソラガ・ミエール」が隣接しており、美味しい生ビールや料理などを楽しむことが出来る。
川越一番街
川越一番街は、約400mの風情がある通りで、川越で最も賑わうエリアだ。 江戸時代(1603〜1868年)後期から明治時代(1868〜1912年)にかけて建てられた30棟余りの蔵造りの建物が立ち並んでいる。 ※通りが歩行者専用となっておらず双方向に車が通るのでちょっと落ち着かないのが難点。 かつて東京に多数あった蔵造りの建物は、関東大震災 (1923年)や第二次世界大戦時のアメリカ軍による空襲によって失われてしまったため、川越の蔵造りの町並みはより一層重要な歴史的遺産となっている。

1807年創業の老舗の鰻料理店。 7代に渡って受け継がれた秘伝の甘辛いタレが塗られ、最高級の炭である紀州備長炭を使って焼き上げられた鰻は非常に美味しい。 皮が香ばしく、身は口に入れるとホロリとくずれるほどふっくらとしており、上品な味わいだ。 一番人気の鰻重には、ふんだんに鰻の蒲焼きが盛り付けられ、ボリュームがある。 その他、う巻などの一品料理も充実しており、鰻のコース料理もある。 店は約100年前に建てられた木造の大きな一軒家で非常に趣があり、店内も和の雰囲気に満ちていて、良い感じだ。 ランチタイムには行列が出来ることが多いので、時間をずらすか、予約を取っておいた方が良い。(※予約ができる時間帯は11時からのみ)
