金沢市西茶屋資料館
にし茶屋街の歴史を学べる資料館。 1階には、大正時代(1912〜1926年)のベストセラー作家で、このエリアと縁が深い島田清次郎(1899〜1930)の関係資料が展示されている。 ※と言ってもこの人物について君は聞いたこともなく、興味もないだろうからスルーしてくれても良い。 2階には、客をもてなしたお茶屋の部屋が再現されている。 鮮やかな朱色の壁、金屏風、漆塗りの装飾品などが並び、豪華な雰囲気だ。 入館が無料なのは良い。

Saltpeter Hall
The museum exhibits materials and tools that explain the process of saltpeter production, which was a major industry in Gokayama during the Edo period (1603-1868). Visitors can try their hand at shooting an old-fashioned gun, the flintlock rifle.
Asakura Akizuki Museum
This is a museum where visitors can learn about the history of this area (Akizuki, Asakura City). The armor, swords, and guns of the Akizuki and Kuroda families are worth seeing. Paintings and ceramics are also on display.
Okunoshima Poison Gas Museum
An exhibition of the poison gas factory that was used during the Second World War. It reflects the misery of the war and the wishes for enduring peace in its wake.

金沢市足軽資料館
下級武士である足軽の生活ぶりを伝える文化施設だ。 1997年、金沢市内にあった清水家と高西家の足軽屋敷合計2棟を現在の場所に移築して開設された。 入り口から見て、手前の右側にあるのが清水家で、奥の左側にあるのが高西家。 ※何と！ 高西家の屋敷は1994年まで、清水家の屋敷は1990年まで、住居として何百年もの間使用されていた！ 木造平屋建てで、板葺き屋根に石を乗せた典型的な足軽の家の内部には、足軽の職務についてや日常生活についての展示品や解説文章がある。 こちらも入場料金は無料、金沢市は太っ腹だ！
