The largest collection of 170 shops selling kitchenware, food samples, chef knives and more in Japan.

The selections of items are so extensive, and of great quality, many of the customers are chefs.

Having said that, there are many tourists and regular folks too, so if cooking is your passion, don’t miss it.

The knives you can buy are unforgivingly sharp as if they are blades of a samurai sword, a level of quality most likely unmatched in your home country.

Another exquisitely made product are the food samples often placed outside of restaurants, just looking at them will bring a smile to your face.

The prices for these samples are not cheap, but you can get your hands on the more affordable food sample straps and keyholders. They make for good souvenirs as well.
At Ganso Sample Shop you can even make your own sample for ¥2,000–¥3,500.

Advanced phone reservations are necessary.
