About Bay Area(Kobe)

Kobe’s bay area was modeled after San Francisco’s.

The views from the harbor are strikingly beautiful during both the day and night; shops and restaurants are abuzz, and it is located in an easily accessible area.

Consider a night here for an unforgettable experience.

Two of the best spots in the area are the Harborland and Meriken Park.

Meriken Park lies on the east side of the center ship terminal, and Kobe Harborland lies on the west side.

Differentiating between the two is unnecessary; both are well-known for having spectacular views at night.

As day turns to dusk, landmark attractions like the Mosaic Big Ferris Wheel and the Kobe Port Tower are illuminated.

You can easily watch these romantic lights from numerous restaurants and bars around the area.

Recommendation

Do be sure to catch the breathtaking views—especially the ones at night.

During the day, the rays of the sun reflect off of the sea’s waves and form sun glitter.

At night, stunning illuminations light up the city.

Definitely take some time for a stroll around the area and feel the sea breeze or relax at a restaurant or café with a view.

Access to Bay Area(Kobe) / Data

Both Kobe Harborland and Meriken Park are easily accessible, as they are near both subway and JR stations.

Moreover, it would only take a mere 10-minute taxi ride (about 1400 yen) from around the center area of the city (Sannomiya Station).
