It is a heart-shaped tide pool that appears only at low tide, which occurs twice a day, and is a very popular romantic and power spot.
It is located on the east coast of the village of Akaogi in the northeastern part of Amami Oshima.
There is an entrance to the beach along a narrow road.
Walking through the jungle where habu vipers sometimes appear, it takes about 3 minutes to reach the beach.
From there, the second rocky point on the right (about a 3-minute walk) is where you will find Heart Rock.
You can only see it for an hour before and after low tide, which changes every day, so you must confirm the time of low tide in advance at the following site.
