飛騨 こって牛

A5ランク(最上級)の飛騨牛を使った握り寿司の専門店。 観光客で賑わう上三之町にあり、いつも行列が出来ている大人気店だ。 ほとんどの客が注文する人気メニューが、味わいの違う飛騨牛握り寿司を一貫ずつ楽しめる「三種盛り/1,000円」。 この店にはイートインスペースがないので、横にある「咲くやこの花」店内か、店の前か、歩きながら食べることになる。 なお、寿司は皿の代わりに食べられる煎餅の上に載って出てくる。

日下部民藝館

かつて高山で有数の豪商だった日下部家が1879年に建てた豪邸で、高山の町屋建築の“集大成的な存在”。 長さ約13m の梁などを使って組み上げた吹き抜けなど、力強く豪壮な構造が特徴的だ。 奥の土蔵が展示室になっており、5,000点ある美術品や民芸品などの収集品が順次公開されている。 その他、江戸時代(1603〜1868年)・後期と明治時代(1868年〜1912年)の生活用具なども展示されている。 1階中央部にある休憩所では、お茶と煎餅をいただける(※無料)。 吉島家住宅の南隣にある。

This souvenir store is located next to Wada House in a Gassho-zukuri building. It offers a wide variety of souvenirs such as folk crafts, local sweets, and locally brewed liquor.

This café is housed in a gassho-style building. The warm hospitality of the owner and his wife, coffee brewed with natural water, and free refills of zenzai (sweet bean soup) are well received. Shikawa-go

Gassho-no-yado Rihen

Built over 400 years ago, it is the oldest gassho-zukuri building among the guest houses in Shirakawa-go. Located near the main street of Shirakawa-go, it is convenient for sightseeing. Home-grown vegetables and local river fish are served for dinner.
