The observatory is located on high ground along Prefectural Road 626.

The view from the observatory is very good.

The view of coral reefs, islands, Rias coast, beautiful gradation of ocean colors, and deep greenery of mountains from here is wonderful.

There are two viewing spots, one from which you can see the Oshima Strait and Kakeroma Island across the strait, and the other from which you can see the emerald blue waters of Katetsu Bay.

Because it is located at the entrance connecting Oshima Strait and the Pacific Ocean, whirling tides of various sizes can be seen at low tide.

Located on the way to Koniya Port, it is a good place to visit along with the nearby Heart Shape Lake Viewpoint.
