The lion rock observation deck is located near the ropeway’s Shishiiwa Station.
At 433 meters above sea level, there is no obstruction of view; you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea and islands of various sizes, even Shikoku can be seen on a clear day.
The view is especially beautiful in the morning when the air is clear.
If you do not have the time, energy, or strength to climb up to the summit, it would be better to take the ropeway back down the mountain. (The mountain path to the summit is quite hard and takes about an hour there and back.)
