About Hiroshima City Central Area

The central area of Hiroshima consists of several big shopping malls, hotels and restaurants.

As well as those, the area also consists of several tourism spots such as the Atomic Bomb Dome, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Hiroshima, Shukkeien and many more.

Transportation is well developed in the area making it a great place to stay.

Recommendation

Enjoy walking around the city, shopping and eating in Hiroshima City.

For food, it is recommended to taste Hiroshima’s famous Okonomiyaki, kaki (oysters) and seafood from Seto Inland Sea.

Visitors can also enjoy Hiroshima’s nightlife in areas such as Nagaregawa and Yagenbori.

From Hiroshima Airport

The central area of Hiroshima is far from the airport, roughly 60km, and it takes around 55 minutes on a limousine bus.

From Hiroshima Station

The central area of Hiroshima is roughly 2km away from Hiroshima Station, but since there are buses and local trains running from Hiroshima Station frequently, you can easily access the central area without long transits.

– The street cars Romen Densha (Hiroshima Railway Lines 1, 2, and 6) take 15 minutes.

– The buses (Hiroshima Dentetsu, Hiroshima Bus, Hiroshima Kotsu) take 7 minutes.

Moreover, there are buses running for Hiroshima Airport and other areas of Hiroshima Prefecture, as well as other prefectures such as Tokyo and Osaka from the bus center on the 3rd floor of Sogo Hiroshima, which is convenient.
