Established in 1947, this is a famous ramen restaurant.

Their original formula for the soup includes broth from pork bones and a seafood broth made mainly from dried horse mackerel. Both broths are cooled to remove impurities and finally blended together.

In addition the soup comes topped with this shop’s original burnt lard. It is beloved by many for its unique burnt smell and taste, but also disliked by some.

Their popular dish is the soy sauce ramen (shoyu ramen) , which is made with the abovementioned double broth and burnt lard. It has a light taste while holding a fragrant smell.

The home-made noodles are medium thick, round and wavy with a chewy texture and smooth mouthfeel that goes extremely well with the soup.

Toppings are basic: grilled pork, leeks, and bamboo shoots.

Keep in mind this restaurant closes a little early at 19:50.
